Either Mason or Maddox were disbarred from practicing law many years ago for professional misconduct. Articles were in the Metro section of the NY Times (possibly in the 90’s).
I have them around the house somewhere.
Both were hardcore marxists/leftists, esp. Maddox. Believe he was associated with the Soviet legal front, the International Asssociation of Democratic Lawyers and/or their Cuban-based front, the American Association of Lawyers.

Thanks. I can’t say I paid much attention to their ‘civil rights’ claims after whites were targeted for repeated assaults at my multiracial high school by blacks at another and the press was crickets.
