I have a dog. My city has had one homicide in the last 3 years. I make sure the car is locked but no real need for more than that. No fear whatsoever.

I live in a crime-free area rusticating away as distant from metropolitan criminality as is practical, but if someone in the house leaves a door or window unlocked that is a mortal offense.

It only takes someone a few seconds to take that extra measure of precaution of locking-up. The risks outweigh the benefits of not doing so. If you lose your keys all the time find a way to get some discipline with that.

All it would take would be a fluke, outside chance of perniciously bad luck and you could be at the mercy of someone that would revel in torturing you to death. There are legions of people with ethnic hatred, class hatred and plain malice in the world.

Someone should reproach the hell out of you for being so reckless. It is totally immoral to not take proper care of yourself.

Criminals and inner city thugs wander around and look for opportunistic targets with all the time and leisure of the unemployed. Nothing stops such people from drifting into otherwise safe neighborhoods. Being so heedless is inexcusable. It is pure goofball female think.
