What stops Indian or Thai doctors from botching the job?

Where's the accountability??

Can you sue them for malpractice? What?

Oh, I have no idea. No doubt there are answers to these questions, but I have no idea what they are.

I do know that medical tourism is already a huge and growing business, so presumably these concerns have been addressed to some degree at least.

Well, another suggestion would be, if you need an operation, say for a knee replacement, or even open heart surgery, go to India, or maybe the Philippines, where the operation is still a lot cheaper, including the airplane ticket.
