The Kurds have very old weapons, maybe an old Russian tank or two, and are very low on ammo. ISIS has our weaponry and tons of ammo. I agree blowing ISIS off the face of the earth is what’s needed, but it will also likely take boots on the ground to do so. Let the Kurds be those boots.

I just can't agree with arming anyone. What created this mess is that the US has provided weaponry, globally to groups to overthrow their govs. Either they haven't been loyal to us or they've been defeated and the arms end up with maniacs. What ISIS has is US weapons, training, and its initial financing. We have a moral obligation to destroy those weapons and those maniacs.

This concept of friending locals to overthrow stable govs and providing mischief to create protests is tearing the world apart. For all of those reasons, let the mideast figure it out. Let change be at the ballot box...and not fiascos like Ukraine, Egypt and Libya after overthrowing a gov.

I suspect that the solution would be Syria, Lebanon, the Kurds and Turkey all have an interest in stability. All four govs protect Christians. But instead we let Saudi Arabia set US foreign policy....for heaven's sake, they provided the 911 terrorists and are not the friends of our Christian-based civilization. How did the US ever get involved in overthrowing stable govs that kept Christians and other minorities safe? It's insane.
