“We don’t understand real evil, organized evil, very well. This is evil incarnate.”

Baker’s quote of Crocker, who served as President George W. Bush’s Ambassador to Iraq and President Obama’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, is worth reading in its entirety:

“This is about America’s national security,” said Ryan Crocker, who was ambassador to Iraq under Mr. Bush and to Afghanistan under Mr. Obama. “We don’t understand real evil, organized evil, very well. This is evil incarnate. People like Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi,” the ISIS leader, “have been in a fight for a decade. They are messianic in their vision, and they are not going to stop.”

It is hard to imagine how far ISIS will have spread its evil by the time January 2017 brings a new resolve to the White House. Hopefully the seriousness of this situation adds to the repudiation of the president and his party of go-along yes men and women at the polls in November, and a rebuilding of the Department of Defense can begin in earnest in January 2015.

It didn’t have to be this way. W’s generals and their troops won the war in Iraq. President Obama booted away the peace and the intricate coalition that held it in place when he abruptly pulled a residual American force from Iraq in 2011. This is a sequel to what happened in Vietnam in 1975. This time there are no boat people because there is no ocean and there are no boats. Just slaughter. And this time the enemy isn’t going to stop with conquering their country and incursions into a few local countries.

“This is evil incarnate,” as Ambassador Crocker put it so succinctly and well. Evil incarnate doesn’t fill out brackets, or rest or grow weary. It marches on and sneers at the delusions of its enemies who don’t even know they are the target.

We’ve had two Presidents in a row who insist Islam is a religion of peace….and now one who will not use the word terrorist…..so no, neither one of them understands evil. Or perhaps Bush didn’t understand, and Obama IS evil...

I agree. How do you call it a religion of peace and acknowledge that they’ve been having a religious war in that area for 1500 years?

How many of these ‘evil incarnate’ people have we allowed into our society over the years and are still allowing to come in every day?

Well maybe if you hadn’t gotten rid of Saddam, this guy wouldn’t be a problem now.

Its hard to take Hugh seriously when he refuses to recognize the evil inherent in our current uniparty system.

There’s no more money to be made in Iraq for the Democrats. Hillary and Obama were fine with overthrowing the government of Libya because there were billions of dollars there to be scooped up. There’s no profit in this fight with ISIS. No votes and no money. That’s why Obama was agitated yesterday.

Bush was probably unaware and a little naieve of the depravity of Islam and much of the radical element. Obummer - He has to know the evil and depraved tendencies of Islam and is empowering them with weapons so they can declare caliphates. BIG difference. We have an enemy of the state under our own noses in the WH and they can’t even see it.

Comparing what's happening in Iraq to what happened in Vietnam in 1975 is perfect.

In '75 the dhimmis refused to honor our committment and turned a victory into a defeat w/ a soon to follow genocide.

Same thing here where the dhimis have left our allies in Iraq to be brutaly murdered.

Who said history doesn't repeat itself?

Seriously, Islam has brought nothing but death and misery to the world for 1500 years. It should be eradicated from the globe!

Its worth mentioning that Saddam gave money and guns to guys exactly like ISIS: Ansar Islam and Eygptian jihad.

The difference of course is that Saddam wouldn’t have allowed his favored terrorist groups to invade Iraq, whereas Obama - who gave millions to ISIS while they were in Syria - did exactly that.

Getting rid of Saddam wasn’t the problem. Getting rid of him and then not providing any presence or control oneself was the problem.

Obama could have set up a SOFA and had enough troops in country to stifle ISIS. He could also have prevented Maliki from screwing everything up.

Instead: he chose to work on his golf game.

And just to repeat myself: he could also have not given millions to ISIS. I mean, damn.

There is a difference in WHY, but not in what. The result? Bush publicly insisted this “religion of peace” flapdoodle…..often. His administration is still part of 13 years (post 9-11) where America will NOT admit, at the highest levels of the government, who and what we are fighting.

Bush and Obama and their creatures don’t understand evil because evil is a spiritual problem, and almost all politicians are spiritually retarded.

I suspect W wasn't naive when he used that term. I think he tried to defuse the moose limb world from becoming totally radical, giving them an opportunity to step back from the precipice of total destruction of a full fledged religious war. Had he not done so, I think we would have had a much tougher fight. The bamster on the other hand, he seems to favor the side of the radicals.

Perhaps W didn’t understand evil but with Obama I think it is more profound than that.

I don’t think Obama understands Liberty or Freedom. I don’t think he believes in Liberty or Freedom.

I think that it is a basic doctrine of Progressives that Liberty and Freedom are false concepts.

If you don’t believe in Liberty or Freedom then who rules over you is just so much political drama. So does it matter if a few folks meet their demise in all of that drama.

I think that the only reason he is sending in air support is because he is feeling a bit too much political heat on the subject.
