Military helicopters flew over the Island this week as the Vineyard prepared for what is becoming a familiar August event: the arrival Saturday of President Barack Obama for a summer vacation on the Island. According to a White House official, the president will travel to Marthas Vineyard on Saturday, August 9. In past years, the president has traveled via Air Force One to Otis Air Station One in Bourne before taking the Marine One helicopter to the Marthas Vineyard Airport.

The president usually does not have any public events during his trip, but the White House announced that the president will be attending a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser on Monday, August 11. The news website Politico reported that the fundraising dinner will be held at the Vineyard Haven home of Berklee College of Music president Roger Brown and his wife Linda Mason. The house is in the head of the pond area overlooking Lagoon Pond.

Taxachusetts.
Seems like a fitting locale for the Caliph and Calipha.
I wonder if they flew in Malaria’s new car for her to use?
If we postpone our vacation the terrorists will have won.
Better there than back in our Coachella Valley.
Uh...You just ordered our air force to shot missiles into Iraq, to supposedly “help” stop a massacre, and you go on a vacation trip to Massachusetts?

Lady on CNN this morning was wringing her hands about how much is going on for the administration to worry about. Hamas, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine etc. How there was just more to do than they could possibly get done. I’m sure they’ll be okay with obammy playing golf for a month.
I heard the Vineyard is much smaller than Guam.
Geez, do you think we have enough days in the summer for obama to adequately have his summer vacation. Oh, and then comes Thanksgiving and Christmas! Yeah, obama and the kids have some more holidays coming up!
July 30 - Great white sharks off the coast of Cape Cod are attracting swarms of tourists, coming out to see the iconic animals.
Jaws, the movie that made white sharks popular - and feared - was filmed in Martha’s Vineyard, which neighbors Cape Cod. That 1975 film caused millions of people fear entering the water, believing the animal could lie in wait just beneath the waves, ready to strike.

He might want to stay on the golf course and out of the water to avoid the possibility of a headline such as ‘Great White Shark eats First Black President’. Wouldn’t that be a tragedy?
ahahaha LOVE IT!!

Is naming an island after a Womyn sexist?
“The house in the pond area overlooking Lagoon Pond...”
“Shark! The shark! The shark is in the pond!”
(Jaws lovers will get that reference!)
