You really raised the level of debate when you posted an anti-semitic article accusing the United States and Israel of commiting "false flag terror attacks," you slimy Putinist.
They are having a tough time with a rag tag group of rebels. They'd look like the Iraqi army against the Russians.
As one of the rebel commanders said when asked if the Russians had invaded, "if they did we'd be fighting in Kyiv right now".
From the classical Kantian perspective, we only have direct moral obligations to persons, defined as rational people with self control. A Putinist is not a person, and therefore, we need not worry about being nice to them. It is like being nice to a rock, or to rats. From a Utilitarian perspective, anyone who can experience pain or pleasure has some kind of moral standing. Putinists, however, only experience degraded pleasures, like the pleasure from treachery or lying. No matter how I approach it, I can’t think of a good reason to be very nice to them.
When the Russians invaded Georgia, they never made it to Tblisi. They turned around and retreated. Now that the same rabid psychopathic gang of Cossaks and Chechens from Russia has invaded Ukraine, they’ll never even make it to the Dnieper River, much less take Kiev.
The propaganda from BOTH sides is the work of fantasy.

The reading of the 'Kantian perspective' implies consent attained by dishonesty and coercion is ruled out as not viable through words in actual practice of language word usage, by persons, which all know is never the case otherwise rulers would never be able to utilize words to attain consent attained by dishonesty and coercion. Examples: hitler, obama, putin and assorted others throughout history prove the Kantian theory incorrect (imho). That is my understanding. Do you have another opinion?
This is the moral cowardice approach. An inability of people, especially liberaltarians, to take a stand after a fair evaluation of the evidence. Being lukewarm on this matter, after all we have seen, and dismissing both sides as equally fantastical, is simply unacceptable. One would think that the existence of unethical people wouldn’t disprove the theory that would condemn them, if I am understanding you correctly. All those people do use others “merely” as a means, that is, by violating their autonomy. Though the classical Kantian view has all sorts of other problems, such as what to do with marginal persons.
Why bring up the Kantian theory if you knew it to be incorrect? Is useless to the conversation to bring up something known as incorrect.
