I didn’t mention “white”; the people (of all colors) who held John Wayne characters up as an ideal basically failed to instill the same culture and values in successive generations. Whites are to blame for the liberal mess into which we’ve descended; it is still a white country, and many of them have opted for a politically correct nanny-state (similar to national socialist and Bolshevik states from decades ago).

Blacks and Hispanics fifty years ago had stronger families and a better work ethic as well; they’ve also descended into dysfunction. It is just a function of a post-Christian country.

>>>Excuse me, but how would Romney be better than Obama?
The two are virtually identical politically.<<<

Two Peas in a Pod.
It takes one to know one.
Mirror Images.
Identical Twins.

We’re damn lucky Obama pulled it out. I had no idea how bad it would have been had Romney squeaked by him. Close call.

Don’t forget, Romney is one of those darn Mormons, not a member of a mainstream Religion like that wonderful Muslim Faith that Obama adores.

We also wouldn’t have had the two fine Jurists now serving on the Supreme Court, Kagan and the Wise Latina. You know what they say, you can never have enough Lesbians on the Supreme Court of the United States.

You mean Willard would’ve appointed Conservatives to the bench ? Go ask Brian and Beverly Mauck how that worked out for them, Hoss.

What are you talking about? Oh, you thought I was being sarcastic. Well I was. LOL

I was just bolstering your Opinion that Obama and Romney are Identical in every way. You said it, not me.

Since Romney ISN’T President, I have no idea what he would or would not have done. All I know is that we would have had some say in Policy. We pressured RINO Bush 43 when he was pushing Amnesty and Harriet Meyers didn’t we?

Obama hates us, and I’ve never felt that any President in my Lifetime actually hated half the Population, but he does.

Not a big Romney fan, but I DESPISE (pick your adjective) Obama and everything he stands for, how about you?
Yeah, I must be a Racist...

Just to be clear, I supported Newt in the Primaries but he didn’t make the cut. Since I will NEVER support a Democrat, I simply follow the Levin Rule.

I don’t waste my Vote on third, fourth or fifth Party spoiler Candidates. I learned my lesson back in 1992 when I wasn’t paying attention and Voted for Perot. I’ll never live that down, but not supporting the old RINO Bush 41 gave us Clinton and now Obama. Elections have consequences, or so I’ve heard about a million times here on FR.

Not going to get in a Pissing Contest with you or anyone else here. We live in Obamaville now and nothing we say here will make any difference.

We come here to vent, and I have no illusion that anything anyone Posts here changes minds and hearts out in the cold cruel Liberal Media controlled World.

Have a good night, I’m hitting the sack.

I followed Willard very closely, pretty much for 20 years now since his first run for the Senate in 1994. As much as I soured on Dubya, I can tell you these two aren’t remotely in the same class of people. If you think you’d have had any influence policy-wise with steering him in the “right” direction, I’m here to tell you that you’re fooling yourself.

Willard has had for his entire adult life, his own personal political agenda which is far afield from anything remotely having to do with Conservatism. Indeed, his agenda dovetails mostly with his parents, who were both committed left-wingers who tried using the Michigan Republican Party as a vehicle for their misguided agenda.

Do I know what he would’ve done as President ? Absolutely. You think he’d have “undone” ZeroCare ? Forget it. ZeroCare derives its very existence from his own Socialist health care agenda he created in Massachusetts. Killing ZeroCare would’ve been aborting his own personal creation. It was again, Willard who inspired Zero to create it and push it through a radical Congress. Indeed, had Willard not served his execrable term as Governor, Zero would’ve lacked a blueprint for his plan of action. That Willard could even remotely oppose Zero’s plan on the campaign trail flew in the face of all logic and reason.

Judges ? We’re talking about a guy who lined the courts of Massachusetts with left-wingers. He met with the extremist judicial applicant for all of 15 or so minutes before setting her on the bench where she proceeded to set free a butcher on the public (who murdered the Maucks). Why did he give said applicant such a minimal amount of time ? Because he had his lunch at Ruth’s Chris awaiting him, and that was just more important than vetting a judge with a radical agenda.

When it came out during his first farcical run for President in 2008, he was more indignant that it might make him look bad or be blamed on him rather than the murders of the young Mauck couple.

Amnesty ? You better believe he’d have continued the policies of open borders we saw under Dubya. He’d have reveled in the fact that it would split the party. A party he has absolutely no use for (reference the fact of what he did with the MA GOP and made sure there would be no Republican to succeed him in office - leaving an inept and clueless cypher to defend the party there, an inept and clueless cypher he personally went to the mat to make sure was nominated as his Lieutenant over an infinitely qualified individual who had put in years of hard work).

I can go on if you wish, since this is nothing I haven’t stated before on innumerable occasions for most of the past decade.

Half the problems we have are due precisely to these Trojan Horses we allow in to our highest offices and nominations. It’s not Conservatives that put us in this quandary, it’s the liberal and establishment ones. The same ones far more comfortable with Democrats in office than a committed Conservative.

Before you guys say how it’s my or others fault because we refused to vote for or support these Willard or McCain types, consider that it is these individuals who paved the way for Zero’s coronation. If they put as much energy into sabotaging the Conservative agenda, indeed, the GOP itself, as they did into their own fall campaigns, perhaps they’d have won. But that’s not the role they played. Theirs is to keep the GOP and Conservatism marginalized/weak and off the playing field lest their Democrat allies have to actually defend themselves and what they’ve done to this country.

So next time you say how much better you think Willard would’ve been and how he’d have not been like Zero, consider what I’ve said, and realize precisely what role he has played... and what role he may try to play again for 2016 to either Hillary or his fellow Massachusetts radical, Fauxcahontas.

Just like every other country's citizen's believe!

Is this going to be another thread that thinks POLITICS can fix what SIN has broken?

Mayflower Compact

In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the loyal subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord King James, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, King, defender of the Faith, etc.

Having undertaken, for the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith and honor of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the Northern parts of Virginia, do by these presents, solemnly and mutually, in the presence of God, and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil body politic; for our better ordering, and preservation and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal laws, ordinances, acts, constitutions, and offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general good of the colony; unto which we promise all due submission and obedience. In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod the 11th of November, in the year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord King James, of England, France, and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth, 1620.

Just think we have the next 10 years of Hillary Clinton to listen to and even worse to look at.
I am including the next 2 years where we will hear how she is the most brilliant woman on the planet.

His religion was irrelevant.

Oh??

The Old Testement records a different story.

Psalm 33:12-22   (KJV)

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

...and a better work ethic as well...

And then; to 'help the children'; this country started subsidizing those who do NOT work and subsidizing those who produce 'children' outside of a 'family'.
