He’s mad over the wrong issue. The problem isn’t that we didn’t arm the rebels fast enough; the problem is that we didn’t discern that the strongest rebel groups were even worse than Assad. The Christian massacres in the north should have been a tip-off.

Yup. Assad is no angel but would have likely ended this conflict a year ago without our interference.
Even a bad stable government is better to deal with than an unstable government run by radicals.
