The continuing crisis in Ferguson, Mo., has everyone talking about police militarization again. So while we’re on the topic, have a look at the horrifying video above from Doraville, Ga. The video depicts a SWAT training operation for a downed officer. At least as of this writing, the video was posted on the front page of the Doraville Police Department Web site.
The audio and effects were added by a YouTube user who goes by Patriotsix6. He uploaded the video in 2009. The images at the beginning and end are from The Punisher, the fictional character described by Wikipedia as “a vigilante who employs murder, kidnapping, extortion, coercion, threats of violence, and torture in his war on crime.” The audio is the song “Die Motherf—-r Die” by 'Dope'.
Doraville is a town of about 8,500 people, in the northeast suburbs of Atlanta...

Absolutely it is, but I'm just referring to the silly VIDEO in question. They way its being described you'd expect to click on the link and watch some 'roid raging paramilitary thugs in death masks knock down somebody's house with tanks and uzis and bazookas and sarin gas.

And you’ve been told more than once that the edited video was on their website to display what they do. Are you saying they didn’t have a copy of the unedited video? Are you saying that linking to the video on their website means nothing?
I would love to see your risk analysis on why Doraville is in anyway in the kind of risk Beslan is. Can you even find Beslan on a map?

No you don’t. That is not the scenario you proffered. You specifically cited the Beslan School attack. That’s not a bank robber taking a hostage (although the police jacked that up as well). That was a military style assault by a platoon sized element of the Riyad-us Saliheen Brigade.
1. This SWAT team would be UNABLE to deal with the situation. The Russians used their military forces in Beslan, not a couple of army wannabes.
2. This is clearly the role of the military. That would have been an invasion by a foreign force onto US soil.
3. The police forces in the United States are supposed to uphold and defend the law, not defend against invaders. That’s the role of the military.
No, I don’t approve of the conversion of LEOs to pretend military.
If you want to talk about the police training for a hostage situation, fine. Let’s talk about it. But don’t say, “Needed to protect against something like Beslan” and then change it to “a hostage situation.”

I deal with these steroid freaks every single day. I don’t live in Doraville but very close. The entire city is illegally in the country. As a matter of fact I will be eating dinner tonight across from their training center. They are serious jerks.
