Embattled Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki to step aside

Nouri al-Malki, the embattled prime minister of Iraq, announced on Thursday that he was stepping down after support from his party and associates in parliament slipped away.

Thank God. I thought he’d pull an uncompromising approach, like what’s popular with the “I’m not voting for McConnell” types and who say “I’ll be better off with the Dems winning than an imperfect conservative.”

I bet his appproval rating is still higher than Obama’s
