I’m 51, I must have been in 1000s of photos all throughout my life, yet I cannot recall one single instance where I, my family or friends ever raised the middle finger in a photo. Yet I constantly see photos of these “victims” where they do this...but of course that does not mean they are thugs or thug wannabes, raising the middle finger is a perfectly nice and natural way to pose.
They’ve been raised to hate and don’t do much else.
We are the same age...and you are correct. It never occurred to us to have pictures of ourselves taken while flipping off the camera as a standard pose.
I am 50 and female too. Never in all those years did I have a picture made with my middle finger extended or my butt cra*k showing from low ride britches either. What passes for urban haute couture is to me simply no class hooligans cutting the fool trying to shock, get noticed or just “got rage.”
