Thanks. In reading the local news site comments, I see many Ferguson residents are very angry the report was released along w/video of robbery, because the locals think it only proves police are trying to “make themselves look good”, and other nonsense I can’t even repeat.
Yes, I’ve been noticing that all week, here and other sites as well.
I’m not a huge fan of the police in some cases, but in this one, I think they’ve shown incredible discipline in not doing what they’re accused of doing.
On another note, I was just looking at another thread depicting the officer in charge of Ferguson, pointing a gun at a bunch of motorcycle riders last year in St. Louis.
Ironic that he felt okay about drawing his gun on traffic violators, but not rioters! (as someone else pointed out).

The good old cop on the beat seems to be morphing into a jack-booted thug.
I noticed it starting before I left the US.
I blame it, in part, on the way police are portrayed on TV and today’s movies.
To Serve and Protect has become swat teams yelling “Get on the ground. Get on the ground NOW.”
