As the Ebola outbreak continues to spread in West Africa - the current death toll standing at more than 1,000 - one photographer has bravely travelled to Monrovia, Liberia to chronicle work on the frontline. The pictures, by John Moore, from Getty Images, capture the harrowing scenes of families torn apart by the deadly disease, along with the medical workers battling to save the sick...
International doctors have admitted they don't know the true scale of deaths from the deadly Ebola virus warning the disease is spreading faster than the response.
The group Doctors Without Borders (Medecin Sans Frontieres) have likened the outbreak in west Africa to a state of war and said that the epidemic could last another six months.
Meanwhile, a medical worker on the frontline of tackling the disease in Liberia says response teams are unable to document all the cases erupting as many of the sick are being hidden at home rather than taken to Ebola treatment centres.

This photographer going to stay in Africa or jump on the next plane and get sick in his native country?
Risks HIS life? Is he being kept in quarantine for 3 weeks before let out of country - or coming back home and starting a whole new epidemic -
why was he ALLOWED in in the first place.
And the poor in this country complain when someone expects the to work for their welfare.
Look at those pictures for the harsh reality of much of Africa. Treating the sick is commendable but this disease must be kept isolated there.
Photographer risks his own life to chronicle harrowing scenes
Would this be considered a “selfey” by the “brave” photographer?
Thanks for posting. Health/life/prepare BUMP!
My thoughts too. He might not show symptoms for 2 weeks - and he's putting everyone at risk.
The photographer is a moron. He’s playing Russian Roulette with not only his life, but the lives of people he could infect. Not only that, he’s using sick, dying people in order to bolster his career. If the people are going to die, let them do so in peace. Don’t exploit their deaths., and don’t threaten the lives of other people.
