So Michael Bell was suspected of drunk driving, refused multiple police orders, fought with 3 cops, was tasered four times but still kept fighting. As the fight moved to the side of the car, one of the officers struggling with Bell felt his gun being pulled and screamed “he has my gun!” at which point another officer shot Bell.

The officer who shot him later commited suicide because of the stress.

THATS the “murder” of innocent and unarmed Michael Bell?

BS.

It was a tragic mistake brought on by Bell’s actions.

“one of the officers struggling with Bell felt his gun being pulled and screamed “he has my gun!” at which point another officer shot Bell.”

They discovered that the officer who thought his gun was being grabbed in fact had caught it on a broken car mirror. The emergency medical technicians who arrived later found the officers fighting with each other over what happened.

My rules of engagement as a private citizen would be that I would probably have to see him with the gun before shooting to defend myself. I know the cops are only human too but it seems they have different rules.

Perhaps we read different articles. It was discovered that when the officer thought his gun was being pulled it had actually gotten caught on a broken side mirror.

As for the officer committing suicide:
"The officer who killed my son, Albert Gonzalez, is not only still on the force ten years later, he is also a licensed concealed-gun instructor across the state line in Illinois."

I don't see how shooting someone in the temple who's hands are handcuffed behind his back could be anything but murder.

You really need to give a link, because the posted article clearly states that the cop who shot this guy’s son is still on the force. It discusses another cop who committed suicide, but that’s essentially an aside.

So, we don’t know where you got your info, but nevertheless it is hard to see how you can put a gun to a handcuffed person’s head and pull the trigger TWICE and call that self-defense or justified.

Cops aren’t allowed to kill people just because they’ve p*ssed them off. If they can’t handle those rules of engagement they need to find another line of work.

I’m sure there are mercenary armies all over Africa who’d love to have their services.

+1.

There are PLENTY of times cops do the wrong thing. In Florida a few weeks back, two BROWARD COUNTY (Democrat ruled....Democrat all the way) sheriff deputies SLAMMED a guy’s face into the ground. He was NO THREAT at all....but what the cops DID NOT KNOW was that they were CAUGHT ON CAMERA.

http://www.local10.com/news/video-shows-man-struck-slammed-to-ground-by-bso-deputies/25748794

The media covered it for ONE DAY and has since IGNORED it.

But when a perp who gets shot who has assaulted a cop, strong armed robbed a store, and is apparently threatening a police officer, SUDDENLY the media cares.

It is BS.
