RICK PERRY Declines to Fund Crazy Violent Drunk – Dems Indict Him For It
Gateway Pundit ^ | 8/16/2014 | Jim Hoft

Governor Rick Perry refused to fund Lehmberg’s office.

So on Friday Democrats decided to make a stand for drunk drivers everywhere and indict Governor Rick Perry.

On Saturday Governor Rick Perry held a press conference. Rick stands by his decision.

Here’s what the governor had to say about the indictment.

“Here’s what I think is really important for the people to understand, not just Texans but this country. And, that is, we have seen an office in the form of the Travis County District Attorney’s office. The lead, legal individual for criminal affairs in this county and overseeing public officials who conducted themselves in an incredibly inappropriate way. Stopped for a DWI with a blood-alcohol level almost three times the legal limit. An individual who when booked in had to be restrained. Was abusive to law enforcement. Was kicking the door. I think Americans and Texans who have seen this agree with me. That that is not an individual who is heading up an office that we can afford to fund. Now the people of Travis County may decide that that is the type of individual that they want in that office. But as the governor of the State of Texas… I made that decision and I said ‘no.’ And given that information and given that choice again, that is exactly what I would do.“

Go, Rick Perry!

I think the Dems dumped the snark on Gov. Perry with this one that’s so outrageous that they will suffer a severe backlash.

A replay of Democrats trying to bring down Wisconsin governor, Scott Walker with phony charges. Anyone seeing the video of Lehmberg would see she is unfit for any position of public trust. Perry was totally justified and within his constitutional authority. Bringing down Perry with this phony indictment is just a liberal wet dream.

Despite what many here say, sometimes I think Perry is one of the only Americans working to fight the Dems.

How was your hero "working to fight the dems" when he praised Hillary as a "Great Secretary of State"?

I'm with Perry on this but the undue praise of your pro-ILLEGAL alien liberal governor is factually incorrect.

FAST TRACK THIS TO COURT so they can throw it out, and then indict the prosecutor (or at least fire his ass)

What Democrat operative thought that this stunt might work. He or She has got to be the dumbest person in politics. All the people have to see are the videos of the drunk Democrat and any thinking person will scratch their heads and think that Perry took the absolute right action. We need more moves like this from the other side. It makes absolutely no sense, even a low info voter can understand Perry’s position on this one.

Definitely. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more coverage. I don’t see any crime here. He can veto any bill he wants.

I was wondering why she can’t be fired. Does anyone have a link to her job? Is she elected, appointed, a state employee, etc?

I am sure that was more than a bit tongue in cheek.

We all No Hillary was powerless and useless as a SOS.

Anybody know where the probable cause is for the GJ to have indicted him?

He is thinking about running for president in 2016.

What is most disturbing is that this the tool in the democrat party soft coup machine. Questionable investigations followed by indictments . Oh and what a coincidence, they happen to target prominent Republicans who might run for POTUS. They tried it with Walker, they convicted DeLay, Stevens in Alaska. Again and again we see this and nada from the National Republican Party. They had better get hip to the fact that democrats are investigating Republicans for the crime of being Republican.
