I used a lot practicing at the range yesterday. Have to get a reloading press and tune my garand. It wasn’t ejecting the clip after it emptied. Maybe the gas tube needs cleaning.

The protests in Cairo, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Kiev etc started out peaceful and the US gov DEMANDED that they not be dispersed. So, on one hand it's pretty hypocritical that in the US we want protests stop when they're anything but peaceful, while in foreign countries it was a way to oust govs DC and Saudi Arabia don't like.
Could we have a total rampage in the US that made local or state governing impossible? That got out of control in DC? I doubt the US would allow it here, but as you stated, the veneer of civilization is fragile. It's not impossible that a person or a group with an agenda could do something to cause a breakdown of civilized behavior. It worked in other countries.
