I read the article you linked to. I did not realize there was such a lack of textual criticism with the koran. I know if i fought and died for Islam I would be truly angry when I got to the afterlife and all that awaited me there was a really good produce section.

Keep in mind that 1) Mohammed was illiterate & 2)the Quran was compiled in no particular pattern & 3)the Quran contains many words whose meanings are unknown & 4)about 1/3 of the sentences in the Quran make no sense.
