This current hit on him IS totally political

The Travis County district attorney’s office has a tense history with Republican politicians in Texas and has been accused of politicization. Austin is a Democratic bastion in a solidly Republican state.

Lehmberg’s predecessor, Ronnie Earle, indicted then-Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R) for allegedly misusing state resources when she was the state treasurer. The prosecution crumbled on the first day of trial. Earle also brought a case against then-House whip Tom DeLay (R), for violations of Texas campaign finance laws. The conviction was overturned.

Travis County Texas is Marin County / San Francisco combined

The problem with tazing is that Brown had already nearly taken the officer’s firearm from him. A shot was fired in the struggle. That would have left the officer, in the next few seconds, holding or checking his firearm and then the perp turned around and rushed him.

I cannot second guess his actions in light of what Brown started.

I am against the militarization of the police and at least am glad that the whole issue has brought this to a head; however, it appears that Brown’s shooting is not the racist white cop against the poor ghetto child meme that the media wants this to be.

I’ll stand with white, brown, black, yellow, red or even purple people who are mistreated by the police but this is clearly not a case of such.

He's the political director for NBC....whom else would do that ? The political equivalent at the WSJ, I'd assume....so that doesn't surprise me.

...and nor would the slant of the questions.

As we know, GE/NBC/Comcast have been in the tank for Obie for years.

Todd may be a slight improvement over Gregory....a very low bar , granted.

Hah!

Sounds like you’re advocating a racist FOOD DESERT!

Oh the humanity! How are these downtrodden people going to get arugula, endive and organic goat cheese to make nutritious salads? Forcing them to eat McDonalds and Twinkies is just another example of the Man keeping them down.

I think like so many democrats, Obama and Holder are looking to make hay while the sun shines.

Firing up their base will allow them to hide voter fraud come November...

It doesn’t matter that the charges are true or not. The END justifies the MEANS.

Why would FOX not want it released? It is obvious the rest of the media was trying to instigate a riot and this told the whole world who this hood was.

That was some years ago I heard him say that, to me it just shows how NON Conservative WSJ really is, no I am NOT surprised. There is NO Conservative with the WSJ trying to help “our side”

The WSJ still is NOT Conservative even with Rupert M purchasing it, perhaps the Editorial page is a tad Conservative

Not that Fox is very Conservative, but Howard Kurtz seems to have a free hand, the only difference is that Kurtz show is on FOX rather than CNN. It still basically is slanted left, with slightly less bashing of Fox by Kurtz.

You can still find the show mostly with 3-1 liberal over Conservative when he has a panel.

Fox is just trying to say they are fair and balanced by having Kuttz do his thing. Was much better with John Scott

I've heard as much and unfortunately they really got to Tom Delay. He was favorite of mine. He may have won but how does he get his reputation back. That's why the best defense to these a holls is always a good offense.

You just pointed out the problem with this entire mess. Few have the straight story. I didn’t know what you just told me. There is a huge lack of good straight forward journalism in this story. Once again New Media— epic fail.

I looked for a link but could not find it (yet). I think it was on FR. Justice Dept did the same thing in Sanford. Sent in paid people to help locals “formulate” their protests and do them effectively.

CNN this morning had Craig McDonald, director of the Texans For Public Justice, on. In the interview with Candy Crowley, he indicated that they had initiated the complaint against Rick Perry, that resulted in his indictment. They are a far-left activist organization. When Crowley indicated to him that some critics of this prosecution have said it is strictly political and not criminal, McDonald made the biggest Freudian slip on live TV I’ve ever seen. He responded, “....that couldn’t be CLOSER to the truth.” He meant to say FURTHER from the truth but it was as plain as day. Crowley either didn’t catch the slip of the tongue or she covered for him, which she is prone to do for liberals in need of a life preserver, as she did in bailing Obama out of a tight spot in his debate with Romney in the 2012 campaign when she was the debate moderator.

It is obvious, this is political and not a serious indictment. Ronnie Earle, the Travis County prosecutor who went after Tom DeLay on trumped up political charges, had to “shop” the case to three different grand juries before the fourth one gave him an indictment. Earle also got an indictment against Kay Baily Hutchinson, which was thrown out of court within minutes of the trial starting. Earle is the predecessor of this drunk Rosemary Lehmberg, whose drunk driving escapades initiated the chain of events that has now culminated in Governor Perry’s indictment. This is how the minority democRATS in Texas get their jollies, by shopping complaints and charges against Republicans in order to get something to stick and ruin their opponents, even those the trumped-up charges are dropped, thrown out of court or the parties are found not guilty. Its the way the dirty, lower-than-scum liberals operate.

Tom Delay

I heard him on the radio a while back, he seems to have a couple of tricks up his sleeve, I certainly hope so.

I'd like to see him being called Mr Speaker.
