Yes, they did. I believe that it gave them a sense of purpose. I’ve heard of many men who retire at 65 and die within a few months.

Yes, they did. I believe that it gave them a sense of purpose. Ive heard of many men who retire at 65 and die within a few .Going into the office gives me no sense of purpose. I'm retired after 50 years of working and loving it.
