My mother never breastfed any of her five children, and we’re all healthy and well adjusted. Breastfeeding is highly over-rated, nasty and is practiced by wacko attention seekers.

Dear patriot friend, you would probably benefit --- as I did --- from more awareness of the excellency of breast-feeding, not only as nutritionally superior, but as an experience of emotional nurturing and spiritual bonding.

Nursing a baby is't just a relationship between a mammary gland and an alimentary canal. It's a relationship berween a whole person and a whole person. It facilitates interpersonal response in every way, in a way that is developmentally optimal for the baby, as well as increasing a woman's satisfaction and success in mothering. I'm not saying yuou can't raise babies well while settling for some substitute form of feeding (like a bottle). Neither my husband nor I were breastfed, and we're fairly normal. (Er... on the other hand, maybe that explains a lot...)

Anyhow, a decent society supports this natural mother-baby bonding. An indecent society does not.

A decent man appreciates this, and recognizes when it it is done in a manner which observes modesty and respect. An indecent man does not.

So go ahead, look... because there's nothing to see but the smiles.
