As VRWCmember noted, it’s the Travis County DA that has that authority, presumably because that’s the jurisdiction that includes the state capitol.

Here’s hoping that this escapade backfires on the ‘rats not only in that the attack on Perry fails, but also in that it generates enough outrage to strip this dangerous power out of the hands of partisan hacks in Austin.

I’m not a Rick Perry fan. I didn’t want him running for Pres last time, not crazy about him running this next time but this indictment is entirely BOGUS!

and for it to keep him from running for President in the future is totally wrong.

He did nothing wrong, she did! Rick Perry didn’t pour the liquor down her throat. She should have been honorable enough to resign when she got caught.

But then what am I saying? (slaps forehead) “honorable” isn’t in the democrat’s vocabulary ... EVER!
