KB, your guess about Love is probably a lot better than mine. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if the PTB have laid down the law, and proscribed RL’s presence for the time being. Personally, I think Obama’s dismal poll #s have them genuinely spooked. That, plus the related wipe-out they’re almost certainly facing in Nov. As a result, they are starting to come to grips with a reality they’ve previously ignored with gusto.
Why do I think that? Because of a very strange article on NewsBusters. To wit: “Ezra Klein: The White House No Longer Believes Obama Can Bridge Divides. They Believe He Widens Them”
Here are the takeaway lines:
‘If Obama’s speeches aren’t as dramatic as they used to be, wrote Klein in a Monday post on Vox, this is why: the White House believes a presidential speech on a politically charged topic is as likely to make things worse as to make things better. It is as likely to infuriate conservatives as it is to inspire liberals. And in a country riven by political polarization, widening that divide can take hard problems and make them impossible problems.’
Now since when has Obama ever worried about making a bad problem worse? That’s actually been his MO from the beginning; it’s what Alinsky teaches radicals to do. So if the WH is finally actually starting to worry about stuff like this, it can only mean that their internal polling re: Obama’s popularity & the electoral devastation in Nov. is worse than imagined. Bad enough to shock them out of their Alinsky world just long enough to spend a few minutes in the real world.
So to me, that says Love has been exiled, perhaps once and for all. They just can’t push the envelope any more, now that Obama’s poll #s are circling the bowl. That’s my take on it, anyway. Ymmv.
We toward the right are fixated on Obama, when it is becoming increasingly obvious that for the second term he has been dragged before us to throw us off the scent of those who have used this Affirmative Action nincompoop to cover and implement THE PLAN to socialize America.
OK. Obama is a horrible guy. He's a lousy Marxist. But, it is obvious that he has absolutely nothing to do with events or anything else. His "job" is to do nothing. He's a symbol. Think Jackie Robinson ... only a Jackie Robinson who has '0' talent for baseball.
Speeches? Dramatic? O spare me Ezra Klein. This guy is not even a good reader, they haven't even been able to train this jackass to look at the camera.
But what and whom do we offer to succeed him? "We" (whoever and whatever the non-Democrats are) are going into a "tremendous electoral victory" this fall ... but without a Program, without a Plan, and with no effective Leadership.
Forget this queer disbarred Kenyan/Indonesian/British/American anomaly. We have bigger fish to fry. We have a Republic, if we can keep it.
BTW, thanks for that link. Good spot. Also BTW, it is entirely possible that Reggie's boyfriend is the client that gives every PR man nightmares, i.e., the client stupid enough to start believing his own PR! That's why his handlers are backing off him. Without them, he is less than '0.'
