And if it doesn’t arrive at the conclusion they all want, they’ll add a few tweaks.

Nonsense, pure nonsense. Just another welfare program for “scientists” who can game the system. What a bunch of crap.

What does a “computer model” have to do with reality? Garbage in, garbage out. “Computer models” are a joke.

It is an attempt to solve a set of equations that, frankly, has vastly more variables than it does equations. Any mathematician or engineer can tell you this is horse hooey.

Climatologists have not yet shown that their simple models can predict anything. Why would I believe that a more complex model will do any better?
To: JoeDetweiler
There is also a concerted skeptics’ effort (e.g. WattsUpWithThat) to tie global temperatures to El Nino activity and it appears to make at least as much sense as CO2 warmism, if not more.

An El Nino activity can be traced to the eruption of a string of large underwater volcanoes off the coast of South America.
IOW: It is a result of geologic not meteorologic forces.

They’ve already answered one important question with this study, and that is “how much government money will turn a degreed physical scientist into a toothless grovelling prostitute?”
