The demographics have changed from majority white to majority black in the past decade or two.
It takes time for job turnover to kick in. And I’d guess lower percentages of blacks apply even today.
I understood it was over a 40 year period. In 1970, Ferguson was 98% white. The officer who shot the thug, has only been on the force 6 years. I’m not buying that most of the force has been there 40 years or even 20 years.
They need to try harder, and my guess is that Holder will bring EEOC charges against them.
