Where is that from? I don’t see the issue listed on the SarahPAC website.

Okay, I found similar on her Facebook page. For a while she was mostly staying out of the discussion. But since I left any work in the Alaskan Oil Industry (last year) I haven’t followed it as closely.

So...

Sarah Palin supports a “YES” vote and higher taxes on the oil companies?

That doesn't get much publicity.

I read an article recently on the Alaska state budget.

Apparently, hundreds of rural towns are subsidized by the state, which, in turn, gets most of its income from energy companies and royalties.

Thus, when the state budget gets the flu, rural budgets get pneumonia.

And, thank you for posting so much great information.

It takes a lot of work to assemble all that in a coherent way.

I appreciate the extra effort.

I knew she supported it. It was a big issue for her when she run for governor when I lived in Alaska.

What I saw in the years following the new tax by her replacement, she mostly stayed out of it. On the national level, it wasn’t a winning position with conservatives. In Alaska, there is still a lot of “Redneck Socialists” to quote another FReeper.

Rooting for No! Shame how many Alaskans think raping oil companies will somehow work for our benefit. It’s hard to do business on Alaska, making it less profitable to do business is beyond retarded.

And yet that's exactly what Sarah Palin (with the support of Hollis French and the senate dems) did. Imagine that...
