The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued a bulletin drawing attention to the hactivist group Anonymous plans for nationwide protests against the police shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo.
The group has called for a National Day of Rage on Thursday to span 38 major U.S. cities.
The Threat Management Division of the Federal Protective Service issued the bulletin.
Currently there is no indication that protests are expected to become violent. However, recent protests in Ferguson have resulted in violence, property damage and subsequent arrests, the bulletin reads.
Funny thing about the planned protest in Louisville KY.
Protest is taking place at Waterfront Park, which is right next to the minor league (tripple A “Bats”) ballpark. Where it happens to be “Zombie Night”
Coincidence? Irony? Both?
We had elections during all the big wars, including the civil war. Riots won’t stop elections.
Sure, their rage will be exhibited by sitting quietly on the sidewalk. Frankly, at this point, I don't care. Bring it on. Let them prove to the world what morons they are. Perhaps a few libs will wake up.
WHY are you posting this???
Exactly - rage all you want, in your own neighborhood.
Come to me and I will defend my family and property to the best of my ability.
Wasn’t last weekend suppose to be PURGE NIGHT down in Louisville?
I didn’t see anything come up on the news...???
Next week I leave Chicago - and will be heading back there ~ or close...it’s where I did my undergrad at...I always enjoy the city - I hope it doesn’t turn out like this place I’m in now...
Just one more reason not to live in a major city.
I found the information useful - when and where and if I should be concerned.
Until one of these thugs kills rapes or robs one of thier family members
Yes, yes it was.
I like Louisville a lot too. My wife is a native and her family is there. Ive spent, mostly in 1-2 week increments, years there since i met her in the early 90s.
There was a small scale moving riot (in response to a black on black murder, actually) a few months ago that started in the Waterfront Park area. Which is now, apparently, kept flooded with cops.
Downtown is generally nice. Also NuLu (Market St East of I65) East End (Bardstown Rd/Baxter Ave,Frankfort Ave, The Highlands/Cherokee Triangle) is lovely.
So people can avoid these areas.
I too remember the mentality of 'it can't happen here' before 911. So became or tried to become a human.
Human Excrement Smeared on Police Cars in Greenwich Village
Amen. Wish there was enough space for it to happen for everyone. (imho) less problems outside the cities. Life might be harder though if people do not congregate. Is tough either way (imho).
80% chance of T-storms, some heavy, in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh tonight, so that will put a damper on things.
Orlando won’t put up with any violence or looting.
Amen, found a human. My compliments.
Welcome to Deblasio’s New York!
