Bandwagon liberalism.
...and probably ululates while doing it.................
Well then we need to rename Oklahoma...
Hey, Oklahoman, you dropped your hat.
Oklahoma; The name Oklahoma comes from the Choctaw phrase okla humma, literally meaning red people.
That's ridiculous ... I'd tell him he dropped his headdress!
Yes sir, Choctaw words okla and humma, meaning “red people”.
State tree, redbud, state bird, scissor-tailed flycatcher.
How about the Washington Oklahomos?
This paleface white eyes write with forked fingers, heap bad medicine. Ugh.
And there is the straw man of this entire "scandal". Native Americans don't care about the name. A very few do, but we can find someone who has a problem with any name, phrase, idea or concept.
So if his idea is that if Native Americans, don't like the term, then we should cancel the name, then what would he suggest when it comes out that the vast majority of Native Americans aren't offended by the name?
My dad is a big time Dallas fan and he’s never called them anything but the ‘Deadskins’. Is that OK?
Always loved watching Chief Zee and Crazy Ray going at it.
If I saw a powerfully built blonde man walking across the street would you yell out, "Hey, Viking, you dropped your horned helmet"?
I think it would be a great gesture if Cowboys fans wore Redskins gear in solidarity when they come to Dallas.
If you were in Kansas City and saw a Native American walking across the street would you yell out, "Hey, Chief, you dropped your hat"?
No more than you'd yell "hey black/negro/colored guy (or whitey, or wetback), you lost your hat".
I always laugh when people who depend on the First Amendnent for their living criticize others for using it too.
He gives it a name that signifies courage, determination, strong will, fortitude, a don't give up attitude.
Now, almost 100 years later it is a name with which to be ashamed and condemned.
What has change?
Why are people jumping on the offended wagon?
Answer: They realize that the U. S. has become a nation of indoctrinated !@#$%^s. When a radical is elected to high office, the radicals come out of the woodwork.
If you saw a 7 foot Native American walking across the street in New York City would you yell out, "Hey Giant, you dropped your hat"?
I think their heads would explode.
Hey, Ricky M! ...I find it very offensive that your politically correct BS refers to American Indians as Native Americans! Stuff it, wimp!
Everyone of us born in the USA is a Native American, according to the Constitution. ...American Indians are people descended from the many tribes of people who were here on the American Continents (North and South) before the Hispanics and Anglos came.
The Redskins’ name refers to some tribes that stained their bodies with red berry juice before going into battle.
Real American Indians represent a very small % of the US population and only about ONE% of that ethnic group are complaining about the Redskins name. More gimmedats!
You and all the others that are trying to change the meaning of words to conform to the so-called “PC” line of crap only show your ignorance and willingness to cave to liberal BS.
If you saw a Native American sashaying down the street in Denver, would you yell out, "Hey, Bronco, you dropped your hat and soap"?
Are talking about Indian Indians, Los Indios Mexicanos, American Indians, Canadian Indians, Peruvian Indians, inquiring minds want to know.
