Sarah Palin responds to atheist Richard Dawkins re: Aborting Downs Syndrome babies
Sarah's facebook page ^ | August 21, 2014 | Sarah Palin

Mr. Dawkins, I'd let you meet my son if you promised to open your mind, your eyes, and your heart to a unique kind of absolute beauty. But, in my request for you to be tolerant, I’d have to warn Trig he must be tolerant, too, because he may superficially look at you as kind of awkward. I'll make sure he's polite, though!

Love,

Sarah Palin & family

Deplorable. This guy claims to be some diehard evolutionist, but wouldn’t this be going against these beliefs?

Dawkins must not realize we are close to having drugs so that Downs children can be more self sufficient in the future.

Perhapse if Dawkins gets Parkinsons or Alzheimers we should take him out back like Old Yeller and blast him because he would have wanted it....

Sarah shows a great deal of class in how she responded to this jerk. Me, I wouldn’t cross the street to p*** on him if he was on fire.

By the same logic that getting rid of Down’s syndrome children is a good thing, then he ought to push the contention of the eugenicists that the very fit ought to be pressed strongly to reproduce in larger numbers.

I did extensive testing with my last. I was pregnant at an “advanced age” (anything over 35) and we’d already had a child with a severe heart problem which may or may not have been congenital. The baby wasn’t thriving in the uterus, and we needed to know if there was anything that could be done.

I ended up having an amniocentesis with the knowledge that it was for preparation/discovery only.

Everything was negative, and they never figured out what (if anything) was wrong. Our baby was very small even at full term, and couldn’t regulate her temperature for a long time, but she was otherwise fine.

I was comfortable with the testing, because my doctor is pro-life, and would not have pushed me in any way.

I’d have to think twice about recommending routine testing if the doctor wasn’t pro-life.

Dawkins’s favorite subject is himself, and his beliefs, of which he can ramble on for hours.

I remember when the Nazis came very close to murdering the French actor/theater auteur, Antonin Artaud, because he had become mad and was institutionalized. Happily, he survived through a group of friends. I'm sure Dawkins and his ilk would also like to put down the sick and the mentally ill - no matter what they contribute to society.

The good doctor disbelieves in life after death, but I suggest he’s not in that big a hurry to find out for sure.

Thank you for posting.

By his "doubling down," on his previous assertions, Dawkins further reveals his own empty reservoir of understanding.

A wisdom book from centuries past cautions:

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." - Proverbs 4:7

The love brought into this world, and celebrated in the faces of those beautiful and affectionate children Dawkins would exclude from entering it, is a testament to the emptiness of his declarations.

May I suggest that FR readers order one of Ben Haden's long-ago sermons entitled, "Affliction," in which he relates a story about the unexpected birth of a Down's Syndrome baby to a minister and his wife, and how God used the birth of that child, and the people and events surrounding the couple's reaction to that birth to exert a powerfully positive influence on the lives of many individuals.

Haden's web site address is here. Now deceased, Haden was an attorney, newspaper editor, and Presbyterian minister whose "Changed Lives" radio program and internet presence made a powerful difference in the lives of many.

The same spirit seen in the faces of these beautiful children is that spirit which will live on after the physical body has returned to "dust," and that is the part of the mystery which Dawkins brain just doesn't compute.

Dawkins is an overly-educated, arrogant, narcissistic idiot.

In 2006, he was challenged to write an essay for Edge.org on his “most dangerous idea”. What was that idea? That we have no free will. That we human beings are just machines made out of meat that do things according to our programming.

http://edge.org/q2006/q06_9.html#dawkins

So, if we follow Dawkins’ logic, some nutbag could slice up one of his family members, and in response Dawkins should just go about his life, possibly shaking his head at the perpetrator the next time he sees the murderer on the street. As Dawkins is programmed to do, of course.

What a delightful little boy! Makes you just want to hug him. One of God’s little miracles.

Dawkins looks like his face is frozen from staring at himself in the mirror for hours. Just an empty man—nothing inside. What kind of monster thinks he’s more worthy of life than someone, or anyone, else?

There’s a lovely book by Dale Evans Rogers called Angel Unaware. One of the Rogers’ children was born with what I assume is Downs and it’s the story of how her short life affected their family.

Ping to Sarah's Pro-Life List!

Vile Murderer!

I read this in a book once:

Jesus comes back to earth, and some people think it’s Him while some don’t. At one point, Jesus is at a school for children with Down syndrome, and He is holding a little girl. Jesus says:

‘I know what you are thinking. You need a sign. What better one could I give but to make this little one whole and new? I could do it, but I will not. I am the Lord and not a conjurer. I gave this mite a gift I denied to all of you — eternal innocence. To you she looks imperfect — but to me she is flawless, like the bud that dies unopened or the fledgling that falls from the nest to be devoured by ants. She will never offend me, as all of you have done. She will never shame me, as all of you have done. She will never pervert or destroy the work of my Father’s hands, as all of you have done She is necessary to you. She will evoke the kindness that will keep you human. Her infirmity will prompt you to gratitude for your own good fortune … More! She will remind you every day that I am who I am, that my ways are not yours, and that the smallest dust mite whirled in the darkest spaces does not fall out of my hand … I have chosen you. You have not chosen me.

This little one is my sign to you.

Treasure her!’

It used to be that pagans sacrificed their children to their local gods. Those pagans now known as Leftist Throwbacks made killing children fashionable and profitable.
