just as there are hundreds of baptist types, so is it with islam.
You assume Islam is just another religion like Christianity.
It’s not.
Just ask Andrew McCarthy. He once thought as you do - assuming myriad denominations and sects within Islam. He read the Quran and got himself educated about the reality of Islam.
Islam demands a homogenous Umma under a single Caliphate. The iron and clay mixed will come about once they have worked together against the infidels to achieve what they think they want. Then power will divide them.
