No doubt some do. But to blame all cops for the actions of the lawbreakers [as some around here do] is about as moronic an argument as blaming all gun owners for the actions of the lawbreakers.

There are two kinds of cops, bad cops and cops that cover and make excuse for bad cops - which to me means there are only one time of cop.
As soon as the ‘good cops’ (if there are any), start immediately reporting on, and firing the bad cops, then maybe, just maybe, they can win back some public approval. Police corruption and abuse is rampant, not an isolated incident and yet despite there supposedly being a majority of good cops, they are almost never fired or imprisoned - instead the are covered for and allowed to retire with big fat pensions almost no matter what they do.
As long as cops cover for other cops, then they are all bad cops to me..

And if they had to switch places with an officer on a beat in any large city for even just one day they would change their tune after having to deal with demographics that cause so many of their own problems by acting irresponsibly and selfishly.
