Obama Stands Alone: Even The Media Are Baffled By His Deepening Isolation

President Obama has few remaining friends—either in his own party or in the media.

That’s the unmistakable conclusion of two pieces this week in the New York Times. Just about everyone, it seems, is down on his single, solitary nature.

I’ve been saying for a year now that the president’s liberal media allies have soured on him. It started with the ObamaCare debacle and continued through his seeming passivity or slow reaction time in the wake of the VA scandal, the Bowe Bergdahl mess, the military collapse in Iraq and so on. At this point they’re basically Waiting for Hillary.

What is striking now is a growing sense, fairly or unfairly, that Obama is not capable of rising to the occasion, that he just doesn’t like politics, that he’s disengaged, that despite his soaring rhetoric in 2008 he has a passion deficit.

All the criticism about him playing golf and being at Martha’s Vineyard is kind of a code for his supposedly being unplugged from the job.

A Times news story opens with a killer anecdote about the president meeting with Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell, which turned to Democratic complaints that the GOP was bottling up a number of Obama’s ambassadorial nominees.

“Mr. Obama quickly dismissed the matter. ‘You and Mitch work it out,’ Mr. Obama said coolly, cutting off any discussion. Mr. Reid seethed quietly for the rest of the meeting.”

Wow. And the nut graph: “Nearly six years into his term, with his popularity at the lowest of his presidency, Mr. Obama appears remarkably distant from his own party on Capitol Hill, with his long neglect of would-be allies catching up to him.

“In interviews, nearly two dozen Democratic lawmakers and senior congressional aides suggested that

Dictators don’t care what anybody says. Election in 2016 - wonder what the odds are that he discards what’s left of the Constitution and “runs” again.

Bullshit! As long as there is one “journalist”, one parasite, one traitor, one self hating White, one Jew, one Democrat, one Fluke like skank, Obama will never be alone.

The article says they are now just waiting for Hillary. When I read that I was immediately struck by the image of a horse with a broken leg waiting to be shot.

Obama is coasting because he knows that, whatever happens, he is set for the rest of his life. He also doesn’t really need thee MSM anymore—they played their role and he is done with them.

Before he leaves, he will accelerate the demographic changes in the country by Executive fiat. That will be his last poke in the eye to America.

Exactly, it’s nothing but $200,000+ speaking fees and board-director seats for him and/or his wife with Ivy League educations (then Corporate America / Wall Street) for his kids as far as the eye can see.

It isn’t just Obama - for years, bad Presidents/congressmen/Senators have made bad policy with lasting, bad consequences for many Americans while they and their families get off scott free.

If American democracy ever gets a much-needed reset, it would be nice to have something like a performance-based salary or stock option that ties pay to future performance (GDP or something).

I agree. I think the Jarrett/Obama relationship is breaking down. He is dragging his heels at executing some of her orders. His behavior is that of a ‘bad boy’ before his mother VJ

I say he knows he has accomplished his task. He can break the law at will (Bergdahl swap and many other things), he has taken AMerica off the world stage, he has us at divided every which way possible, and has neutered Congress, courts etc....

"Can Obama still control all the forces he’s ‘separably’ unleashed? Maybe the reason he stays in the Vineyard is that he’s guessed the answer. It’s his psychological bunker, where he waits, hoping for a last minute reprieve from Steiner. He doesn’t know what comes next anymore and frankly, is afraid to look." (Wretchard, It’s Alive)

Obama the mental midget needs his 'Linus security blanket', either the Vineyard or the isolated golf courses. For all we know, he could be curling up and crying like a baby.

Now he's hoping the next newer and more urgent crisis (crises) will overtake the current ones. And counting on Americans have short memories of each and every bungled job he did.

All he ever wanted to done, and all his has done, is campaign. Now, here close to the end of his presidency, there is no reason to campaign any mor.

So, he does nothing.

Obama’s having a great time playing golf and vacationing. Even when he’s in town he’s not fretting about the well being of the country OR party.

The press still doesn’t get it...

Meanwhile, (an increasingly desperate) Hillary tries to distance herself from this incompetent, criminal regime.

HILL AND OBOBO "HUG IT OUT" AT ELITE MARTHA'S VINEYARD ENCLAVE: Hillary Clinton dissed Obama’s foreign policy
failures....comments seen as an attempt to create space from an unpopular White
House. The "hug-out" was to assure the aghast lefty vote sipping chilled Cristal
that her remarks weren’t meant as an attack on their beloved Black man.

"No big deal---you wanted to pepper spray terrorists, I wanted to water-bomb them w/ happy face balloons."

Wiping away a tear, Obama's former van driver, Tommy Vietor
said of the hug-out, “They’re friends and human beings first,” he sobbed.

Vietor sat in on Situation Room briefings and had National
Security Clearance. Vietor now does "messaging" for a living.

Hillary hired Vietor to mastermind her rollicking pre-campaign book tour
(as the $14 million book deal went straight to the $2 bin).

Valerie Jarrett continues to struggle running the country from the shadows....

Valerie has lots to do----she is Obama's "Senior Deputy Advisor."

In Chicago gangland politics that means "wire transfer artist."

Strategically, Hagel is right.

If ISIS succeeds in setting up a new Caliphate, we will have a huge problem that will be a decades long war.

9/11 will not even be remembered by most.

Full disclosure, I know Hagel. He used to be my congresscritter years ago, and lived near my home town. Didn’t like his politics then, but he does have a decent grasp on history.

We will either fight them there, or will watch cities burn here.

The MSM is guilty of fraud and sedition and treason.

The MSM is still a powerful agency of liberals as they easily influence the low information voters who overwhelmingly vote for Dems. They may have soured on Obama but they are still carrying his water - nothing has changed.
