The idea that there is a ‘turn’ is the problem. That is was ‘mitt’s turn’ is how we lost to Obama.
It is no one’s “turn”. Whoever wins wins. As to Ryan...no thanks, mitt.
Ryan is a sleazeball.
Sure. Why not. We are used to losing.
I have come to the same conclusion; in fact, even if the Republican party were merely incompetent (yet pursued their planks) we would see some progress on some planks at some point — we do not. It is therefore imminently reasonable to conclude that the Republican party is pursuing its true goals and is complicit in the corruption, malfeasance, and malevolence of DC.
He is an "elder statesman" and spokesman for the Republican party because he perfectly fits what the party is about.
It makes sense when you realize that they have no intention of pursuing the party's platform, which is only there to get votes — the NRA is a perfect analogy: all about getting funds and certainly not about to push for repeal of the GCA or NFA because, well, if they made progress they couldn't say Oh my God! They're getting ready to ban guns, you need to send money!
(The Republican party is exactly the same, for every platform plank.)
It's all explained in this brochure:

//Whoever wins wins//
Oh please, last election the GOPe pushed Romney on us because it was his ‘turn’. Same with Dole and even Bush Jr. (who i kind of liked). It is orchestrated, and fed to us.
Romney NEVER should have won, but he did and we got Obama again.
Hey Romney lost and I don’t think he could win a second time around. As far as I am concerned Ryan is damaged goods.
Got my Imprimis from Hillsdale today. Paul Ryan speech. Ironic?
NO, AND H*LL NO!
Th reality remains “whoever wins wins”. That’s why we all should devote time, support, money, etc. to Conservative candidates at all levels.
It is the GOP.
Ryan??? BWAHAHAHA
I agree
I would take Romney over Ryan any day. But I hope we can get a conservative at the head of the ticket for a change.
Point taken! Thank you.
Ryan is used goods.
FRiend, that vote would be the near literal equivalent of voting to drink salt water when adrift at sea to quench your thirst, because there's no fresh water and you're about to die.
That is WHY it is such a desperately important thing to understand now, the importance of denying Romney or any like-socialist-lite RINO, any shot at a "Republican" victory, or at least any kind of meaningful one. Romney and that mindset as representative of "Republican" requires one to vote to drink salt water, and if they win, the consequences will be very like a real lifeboat scenario, of madness then death.
My vote will go elsewhere.
So presumably, you will vote for Romney, or Ryan, in 2016 if either of them gets the GOP nomination even though you voted "against" them in the primaries for a more conservative candidate.
Anyone who is conservative who will "hold your nose" in 2016, what are you preparing, or already prepared, to vote for? What isn't lost if Romney wins? What will America GET?
Because I'm pretty sure that that's the kind of choice we'll be seeing between Republican and Democrat presidential candidates in 2016. I only vote for, I know that voting "against" is a swirling sink to drowning.
Yeah, Ryan has now been sufficiently RINOized to be the next lamb offered up for slaughter.
