I'm talking about all the stuff we could be doing -- but aren't -- in the years between elections. I'm talking about the things we could be doing to affect change in our local and state elections as well. Just voting earns you a "D" on your civic duty test. Voting alone isn't enough.
I'm talking about -- and I've already said this -- community organizing. I'm talking about getting out in your neighborhoods, and your hometowns, and knocking on doors for candidates and causes. I'm talking about taking over your local Tea Party group if they've turned into nothing more than a bunch of lazy do-nothings. I'm talking about organizing rallies in your parks, on your capitol steps, in front of your congresscritter's local office, and in the streets of your town. I'm talking about getting up off your lazy a** and knocking off the excuse-making. Otherwise, why are you still here? Why don't you just turn chicken tail and run away to the Philippines, like so many other cowardly FReepers are doing?
Look, you are the problem...you and those like you. You're weak, you're scared, you're more interested in making excuses for your inaction than you are in fixing the problem. Just do this nation a favor and run away to another country, 'cause trying to motivate you to do your duty as an American is a waste of time.
