I can’t tell you what a privilege it was when my father died while I was in high school and I had to get two part time jobs so I could pay my way through night school. Later when I had to transfer to days to complete my degree, I had to get to work at 5:00 AM to keep one of those jobs.

I led a very privileged life but I noticed that the privilege was a lot more visible the harder I worked.
