A lingerie company is under fire for launching a new underwear line that shares its name with a terrorist group.
Ann Summers' ISIS products include suspenders and bras, but company officials insisted the name is inspired by the Egyptian goddess Isis and had nothing to do with the extremist group, now controlling swathes of Iraq and Syria.
According to ancient Egyptian beliefs, Isis the goddess was worshipped as the ideal mother and wife.

ISIS - I’ve obviously grown too cynical to believe the propaganda that politicians of either side and the MSM tell us. The first time I heard of ISIS John McCain was posing and suggesting we needed to send them money and then invade Syria..
If we want an America for our children, we first need to restore sanity to America, close our borders, extricate ourselves from the ME, and quit wasting money on wars for others and making enemies that will cost us trillions.
It’s under fire from whom? To think their use of Isis is connected to ISIS is just as ignorant as to think “niggardly” has to do with race.
I don’t think “Hathor” has any terrorist connotations.
But then again, would you name a Brassiere company after the COW GODDESS?

Close! The Intellec Microcomputer Development Systems (MDS) were complete computers intended for the development of Intel microcomputer based products and ran an operating system callee ISIS. But, one of the languages supported by ISIS was FORTRAN, as well as PL/M. Having sweated over one of these back in the 70s, it’s still the first thing I think of when I see ISIS!
