Singapore is an island. As aggressive as PRC has been of late, they have every right to be concerned. The equally large issue is training for those F-15 pilots. Are we or South Korea helping with that as well?

Singapore Does have a MAJOR problem with Real Estate. It just doesn’t have the territory to train its personnel. So it has to rely on Australia, France, Taiwan, India, the US and Israel for target practice. If I’m not mistaken, some Singapore units are permanently based in the US and France.

Singapore isn't the least bit worried about China - after all, they have imported more than a million PRC immigrants over the last few years to keep their society as Chinese as possible. It's the Muslim (and potentially future Islamist) governments of Malaysia and Indonesia that worry them and thus - like South Korea - in recent years they have made a pivot toward China and away from the inept and feckless Obama-led USA, which they know they can no longer trust in the event of a real crisis.
