You keep tossing around the word “Nazis” to describe the Ukrainian government. Is this a reference to the right wing Svoboda party that won less than two percent of the vote in the recent elections? Do you believe that is a sound basis for using such inflammatory and vicious language to describe the current Ukrainian government? Apart from the fact that the Russian government and its press regularly uses such vile language to describe the Ukrainian government, can you point to any legitimate sources to back up you claim that the current government of Ukraine is “Nazi”? Do you believe that there is no incongruity between a government being “Nazi” as you would have it and the fact that its prime minister is partly Jewish?

Except that 90% of the fighters in eastern Ukraine are Russian citizens sent in by Putin to wage war against a sovereign country. This is about escaping from the Russian boot more than anything else.

Russian speaking Ukrainians have brought this upon themselves. Unfortunately it is a minority as most Russian speaking Ukrainians support a united Ukraine and do not support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

It remains unknown what the borders of Ukraine will be a year or two from now, but whatever Ukrainian territory Ukraine retains will be free of Russian control and that is what all free people can agree on, not you russkies of course who favor Russian invasions and oppression.

Mexico is kind of doing that now. But I get your point.

Wow. Only in the most fevered Paultard/Kremlin mind would the fight for Texan independence be equated with what is going on in Ukraine right now.

Texas was part of the Confederacy. Texas seceded from the United States and fought a war against the Union. They lost.

Maybe this has something to do with this latest Coup.

The Fitch ratings agency has downgraded Ukraine one step closer to default grade, as the Ukrainian currency the hryvnia hits a record low, and the economy balances on the brink of a collapse.

Fitch cut the long-term local currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of Ukraine from B-,signifying a default risk, to CCC, where default is a real possibility, and affirmed its long-term foreign currency IDR at CCC, it said in a statement on Friday.

The downgrade came amid deteriorating economic outlook due to the ongoing military conflict in Ukraine.

That depends on which Russians. Lincoln sure didn’t allow Confederates to have a say in U.S. (Union) Civil War policy decisions.

actual legislation to wipe out Russian Culture within Ukraine

Oh, what bunk this is you slavishly repeat over and over and over. The measure was to make Ukrainian the single official language of the National Gov't, and had nothing to do with wiping out culture, any more than English as the US official language keeps anyone in the US from being as multicultural as they like. Even then, the Kiev leadership realized the measure could be used for propaganda, just as you use it, and immediately rolled it back.

the most radical elements...

More bunk.

If there had been no coup, there would be no civil war today

If there had been no coup, Russia would be running the country with nary a shot from Ukraine's military (except maybe at some disenchanted pro-Euro citizens.)

Really? Why is it we always assume there is a “good guy” side and a “bad guy” side? In some cases, they are all bad. I don’t understand why anyone thinks the Ukrainian government is made up of a bunch of freedom lovers. It’s all about power and money, always.

Okay, well I agree with part of that. Unfortunately I know what these groups look like when they join protests. The Mexican flag is seen everywhere and the U. S. Flag is nowhere to be seen.

It’s a very strange dynamic, because these people do come here for opportunity, but their love remains with Mexico. You may find it, but for the most part the little flag decals on their cars..., it’s the Mexican flag, not the U. S. Flag.

In the youth, there is downright hatred for Whites. I have seen it up close and personal. Are all hispanic kids that way? No. Most are good decent folks. I’d be willing to bet the most active group would be the haters though.

The others are something like us, busy going about life trying to better themselves. The activists focus isn’t on that.

Sorry, I’m not buying it.

You have two nations with established borders in a modern day setting. They are both sovereign nations.

This is a modern day invasion. It is not like Texas in the days when it was a vast open territory.

It has been documented that Russia has sent in mercs and former military leaders to lead out in the anti-Ukraine movement.

This is pure and simply subterfuge. It is Russia wanting to reclaim it’s old satellite territories. Russia is breaching the Ukraine’s border. That’s against international law in any book.

You act as if the people of the Eastern Ukraine were being mistreated and needed rescuing. The Ukrainian people I’ve talked to don’t see it that way at all.

There wasn’t one way of life for people in the Western Ukraine and another way of life in the Eastern Ukraine.

You guys that look for romanticism, or freedom fighter models for what is taking place here need to look at Hitler and his supposed reclaiming of former German territories. That is what is taking place here. Pupin doesn’t want it to be seen as the same, so he’s couching his actions, but that is exactly what is taking place here.

Was Austria merely seeking independence too? Come on guy, this isn’t rocket science. It’s blatant aggression by Pupin and his forces.

I don’t think Mexico is arming people on our side of the border, but I do think they are seeking to reclaim massive portions of United States territory. This is a movement to overpopulate regions of the United States with foreign nationals to the point that they want their own government, and not to be a part of the U. S. any longer.

And for all the talk of these people becoming Americanized, it’s just not happening. There are regions inside our nation now that are more like Mexico than the U. S.

Millions of acres of cleared land wound up in U. S. hands in 1852. Today after 160 years, these lands are no longer vacant. Trillions of dollars of improvements have been made. Now Mexico wants it back, so it can capitalize on what it would gain if it were chosen to be the new government.

If an entity like the imagined Aztlan were to come into being, Mexico would still not have the dominant neighbor to it’s north that it does now.

This is open Mexican aggression.
