I have not tried it but FireTV looks very promising and is at a good price point.

I’m using a Ouya with XBMC and a Keedox with XBMC

Like the Ouya better, but the Keedox has skype, netflix and all that already loaded on it.

Has a good operating system.

The Ouya runs great but there is precious little operating system on it.

Loading apps is a bit of a chore.

Yeah, I can’t figure out if or how to load apps on Apple TV. The Watch ESPN is great for college games but that’s pretty much all I watch on it. I quit Netflicks because all they have, mostly, is crap I won’t watch and the movies I wanted to watch weren’t on there.
