For some reason, the vast majority of Americans can’t get enough of bacon. So Sneakers Bistro in Vermont put up a big sign proudly advertising bacon on it. There’s just one snag: a local Muslim resident wasn’t happy about it and got the bistro to take it down...
One Muslim woman complained on a public forum that she took offense at the sign. The owners of the bistro ended up reaching out to her. They apologized and took the sign down, saying they didn’t mean to offend anyone with their bacon celebration.
The bistro tweeted out a link to an explanation on their Facebook page about the decision, but as of this posting their Facebook page is down....
They ended up getting quite a lot of negative reactions.
Vermont, the state where the citizens voted to issue an arrest warrant for president bush. and they weren’t offended.
It’s really amazing how much respect you can get just by blowing up a few planes and buildings, and sawing off a few heads.
Yet Vermont has some of the best gun owning freedoms in the country.
I’m Jewish, and a vegetarian, and I’m not offended by signs for bacon.

I agree. I’m thinking about doing it too if I come across an ISIS member..

The concept of Turkey Bacon offends me... I am glad they took this sign down, as it was not explicit enough in describing what form of bacon they were offering.
This gives the opportunity for a new marketing campaign for Pork Chops Your Head Off Wednesdays.
Now the complaining Muslim woman can go complain to all the hamburger joints that advertise their bacon cheeseburgers, and all the breakfast places that serve bacon and eggs, and all the salad bars that offer bacon bits, etc. And how does she ever survive a trip to the supermarket and the meat section?

The goal of islam before they institute sharia law, and commit ethnic and religious cleansing is making the local population submit. Sheesh they don’t have much on their American plate to clean up.

Hum. I just bought Lays bacon and cheddar potato chips...now I’m craving bacon dipped with chocolat...Bacon!!!!
This could be great for business, take it down and act like you submit for awhile. Then do a super bacon bacon bacon bacon sandwich for cheap! With a super sign with American flags all over and pictures of detainees in gitmo with a catchy phrase....something like “this is what life is like without bacon”, and a picture with a happy customer eating your super bacon sandwich and phrase something like “this is what life is like with bacon”.
The customer should be decked out in American colors possibly BDU’s with a koran under foot.
Your business would explode.
Child marriages offend me. Clitoridectomies offend me. Polygamy offends me. Honor killings offend me. Using children as shields offends me. People who slander Jesus offend me. Where is the consideration for my religious beliefs? There isn’t any because I don’t advocate or participate in these abhorrent practices. Plus, I don’t kill people who slander Jesus or hang his picture. But if a Muslim is offended by a slab of bacon, people must change their lives to accommodate them, regardless of the losses they will experience as a result.
