Republicans Poised to Recapture Senate
Electoral-Vote.com ^ | 8/26/2014 | Electoral-Vote.com

This is not an article, but rather a summary of what is now showing on the main page of Electoral-Vote.com, an election poll tracking site.

I've been visiting electoral-vote.com for years, and have found that the closer we get to an election, the more accurate their map gets. Recently, and for a long time, they have had Democrats poised to keep control of the Senate, 55 to 45.

However, in recent days it has shifted clearly toward the Republicans. Electoral-Vote.com is now showing the Republicans likely taking control of the Senate. Dems 48, GOP 51, Ties 1

Electoral-Vote.com makes its predictions based exclusively on the aggregate results of major polls. The statistics and predictions are updated daily.

In the process you are voting for a proxy for BHO who will vote to keep Harry Reid as Majority Leader. That will be the net result of such an idiotic vote. Perfectly insane.

If I voted for every Democrat candidate who came along simply because the Republican I supported in the primary lost, I would be voting Democrat at least half the time.

What sense does that make?????????

Sounds like what Henry Barbour was thinking when he thought this scheme up to smear the tea party as the KKK. That in November we would be lulled back as the battered wife we are.

There is NO excuse for voting for a Democrat. EVER!!!! No valid reason whatsoever.

I agree Cochran should have retired and my vote would have gone to McDaniel. But it did not work out that way. And being irresponsible like what you are proposing is simply childish, irresponsible, and totally ridiculous insane and idiotic.

No Cochran isn’t a perfect senator. But he did vote against:

1) Obamacare
2) The Porkulus
3) Cap and Trade
4) Harry Reid as Majority Leader.

That is enough to vote for him over ANY Democrat.

Horse crap! You GOPE shills would make excuses for the death camps I believe.

The GOPE isn’t even making a pretense of covering the contempt they have for conservatives, but hell I would support someone at 60/40 conservative, but we can’t even get 50/50 out of the leftist GOPE and I am a purist?

The GOPE are the purist here, they want nothing but squish liberals in control, period, no conservative will be accepted and they would burn their beloved Party down, which they are currently doing, to keep it pure and devoid of conservative input. Honestly name me anything the GOPE hasn’t surrendered on that is conservative especially in the US senate.

The only stupidity here is the GOPE and the Republican Party Boys begging for support now that they have pissed all over their base. Brain dead half-wits.

Most of ‘em, you know exactly what you’ll get.

That’s just the problem.

Maybe you could try earning their votes instead of trashing them.

"Much will depend upon what Constitutional Conservatives aka Tea Party types decide to do. Vote R, vote D, or stay home i.e. Do they decide to tell the EGOP, K-Street, Karl Rove and the Chamber of Commerce to stuff it and and not pull the lever for their Toadies and or Stay Home..."

Fixed it...

The first thing you will hear is cries from the dims about “power sharing” in committees if the lose.

And my guess is Mitch looses and the Woose that replaces him will do just that. Yes I am that cynical. Again, I think it goes 51-49 in Reid's favor or 50-50 and So-Joe runs the Show and if we get 51 - 49 in our favor our guys will do what you said...

The only rationale for Childers over Cochran would be if he were more conservative than Cochran.

With the exception of the late Congressman Larry McDonald D-GA (who was brutally murdered by the Soviets on board KAL Flight 007) finding a Democrat more conservative than a Republican almost never happens under any circumstances.

McConnell will most likely win KY as he now ahead in most of the polls in that state.

True, McConnell has never been very popular in KY. But BHO is even less so and the voters will quickly learn that Grimes is nothing more than a proxy for both BHO and Reid.
