The media for one thing. All the major media outlets in KS are extremely left-wing, and Brownback is a constant target. Plus, in the election of 2012, conservative Republicans knocked out RINO GOP in the House and Senate. Brownback endorsed those conservatives. All these RINOs have now endorsed the Democrat and are working to unseat Brownback.

It is amazing that Brownback’s tax cuts have been turned into a negative, but they have.

Agree. Plus in most places, the largest employer is the public school district. Almost all government school employees vote Democrat and parents, who believe for some reason that throwing more money at the schools will improve them, are all for more spending. It happens with bond issues, too. People are nuts.

I’m not speaking of Brownback specifically. I’m speaking of the GOP in general. The “brand” is tainted from years of politicians claiming to be conservative and then once elected have no principles. I have no idea what the GOP stands for today. When you don’t know where you are going any road will take you there. The GOP of today seems to be fine with the road leading to a totalitarian state.

I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.

Seriously I do think Roberts will win and that Kansas will elect only Republicans to Congress this year. Which is good news.

Brownback, however, has his work cut out for him based on all the polling data I’ve seen on the race.

The GOPE should also get their overwhelming thanks, they are totally responsible for the disaster that is the Republican Party.

And I should be taller, too. But that's also not in the cards.

All we have is what we've got. And any Republican, even a GOPE, is better than any Democrat.

Most people don’t understand a bond issue; don’t see how it is related to their house payments or rent. The American people are too dumb to be spared disaster.
