Years ago we drove through, on our way back from Normandy
I planned to spend the afternoon at the st Owen flea market - great stuff

Place looked like a souk.

We had to opt out there was something unusually ominous besides just the population

2 weeks later place was in flames. Yutes that’s what they called it

But the French guys in the country love ‘em. I’m rather alone among Americans

Could this be a guilt reaction to European countries slaughtering Jews in World War II? Now Europeans feel they have to prove they're not monsters?
