This sounds like nobody other than the prosecutor really tried to convict this guy. Cops couldn’t find evidence, jury didn’t care that a drunk murderer got plugged, no witnesses to the shooting, etc.

I'd suggest that the prosecutors cause more problem for Personal Liberty than the cops.

Don't battle the cops, battle the prosecutors.
