Pickerington schools were put on lockdown after a threat was called into Pickerington North High School this morning.
Fairfield County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the threat, which was made at around 11:15 a.m., Sheriff Dave Phalen said.
A man with a heavy accent told the school he was going to attack Pickerington North due to the attacks on Israel and was going to kill some kids with an AK-47 he had, Phalen said.
He said his name was “Mohammed Shehad” or something that sounded like that, Phalen said, though it was difficult to understand him.
All Pickerington schools were on exterior lockdown, meaning nobody could go in or out of the buildings, superintendent Valerie Browning-Thompson said at 1 p.m. today.
North was on a secured lockdown, where students were not free to move about the building, Browning-Thompson said. Students have since been dismissed at the normal time.
The district canceled all evening events, including practices, games and meetings, at all school buildings today.

With that type of a name I would be concerned about her getting a tommy gun and spraying the students...

Pickerington has grown exponentially since then and I can hardly recognize it anymore.
