I think it's been proven, documented, and demonstrated that the vast hugely deployed spying activities of our government is only a political tool. Designed and implemented only for monitory and political gains. It doesn't expect or involve intercept of actual threats to people of any sort or any nation. It stands well above the concept of nations. It stands only for the continuance of the powers that be.
You and I are paying for that. Changing it. May take hundreds of years.
