I hate Nigerian scams, they're bottom feeders and scum! Anyway, a close friend of my wife sticks her money in glass jars and buries them in her yard. And she was stupid enough to tell us. If you're going to do it, only tell your children! And swear them to secrecy. It can't be much money, as her house is decrepit and in need of repair. Anyway, I believe in putting your money in real estate, and not just shoving it into land (dirt). If you want to stick valuables in the ground, buy guns, grease them up and insert in waterproof wrappings into PVC pipes and bury them. That will be more valuable than depreciating cash.
