I never understood that if you put some money in the bank, you have to get Life Lock (now Life Lock Super Advantage Ultimate Plus with less fat)for $325 a year to protect what the bank should be protecting..

Lifelock is a near scam in my opinion. Here's a couple of links consistent with that view:

The easiest and most effective thing someone can do to protect themselves is to go online to all of their accounts and set all of the notification settings to automatically send an email for EVERY transaction that exceeds some threshold. I set my thresholds all to $100.00. I now receive an email for every transaction for over $100.00 so monitoring my accounts occurs continuously and conveniently and FREE!
