Elections have consequences. When you vote in or allow bad people to take the reins they use their power in an adverse way. Don't blame the opposition; blame the voters.

Over the last 20 years or so, people voted in Republicans on the take, assuming that just having an "R" after their name was good enough.
Sadly, many think that's still the ticket for the Senate come this fall.
