It's not working.
No amount of technical cleverness will ever be able to deal with English homonyms.
It takes broken/poor English and translates them into something readable. I don’t know whether it works or not, but I understand its purpose.
Years ago I was in a Quick Check getting a sandwich, and I noticed the older American women who had made them in the past was gone. Instead there was a young Hispanic fellow who didn’t say a word (no greeting, or “May I help you?”). There was a screen set up with selections for the sandwiches, and on his side of the counter a corresponding screen (either showing everything in Spanish or just using pictures - many of our “newcomers” are actually illiterate in Spanish as well). You simply selected your sandwich (including indicating how much of each ingredient you wanted), and would glance at the screen and make it.
Technology had found a way to replace American workers with non-English speakers; very scary...
